She was a resident of Norfolk, Virginia until moving to Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Virginia Beach. Before moving, Nancy received loving care in her home for four years following the death of her beloved husband, Daryl. Their marriage of 61 years was a true example of love and commitment.
Nancy's life was lived with wit, grace, and determination all while devoting herself to her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters: Kathy Eisenhower (James "Ike") and Karen Robinson (Bill); her grandchildren: Shelby Neal (Chris), Sara Sanders (Clay), and Ian Logan; along with her twin great granddaughters: Kenzie Ann Neal and Avery Kate Neal, who lovingly called her "Nanny"; her infant great granddaughter, Kennedy Grae Sanders, who recently brightened her world; and her oldest brother, George Stokley.
In addition to being predeceased by her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her younger brother William M. Stokley.
The family would like to thank the staff of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Westminster Canterbury Hospice, and her personal in-home caregivers for the gentle way they cared for Nancy and the love they showed her during her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice.
Services for Nancy will be held on Friday, April 23rd at 1:30 pm at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, in Norfolk, VA . A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
