Thomas Frank Carney, 80, of Logansport, passed away unexpectedly and very peacefully on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 while enjoying a leisurely drive through the countryside with his wife and sister.

Born on May 22, 1940 in Logansport, IN, he was the son of the late Elias E. "Bill" and Vernie May (Angle) Carney.

A 1958 graduate of New Waverly High School, Thomas attended LeTourneau College in Longview, Texas.

On June 26, 1965 at the Baptist Temple, he was married to Carol Diann Young, who survives.

Thomas was retired from the Chrysler Corporation where he had worked for 38 years.

A long-time member of the El-Tip-Wa Tractor Club, Thomas loved restoring antique tractors. He was happiest outdoors, working on the farm and in his magnificent garden.

Surviving with his wife are three children; one sister; six grandchildren; and one niece.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Jo Anne Bishop.

A funeral service celebrating Thomas' life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 16, 2021 in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Steve Kingery officiating.

Burial will follow in the Miami Baptist Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 15, 2021 in the funeral chapel.
