MRS. WALTER BUCK LAID TO REST AT PIPE CREEK.
Death came Monday morning to Mrs. Walter Buck, beloved mother of Mrs. Adolph Stricker, after a long illness. Mrs. Buck had been an invalid for many months at the home of her daughter where she was given loving care. She passed away in the Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital in Kerrville at the age of 84 years.
Mrs. Katie Larmann Buck was born on November 5, 1877, near Goliad, Texas, the daughter of John M. and Harriett Larmann. At the age of three years her family moved to Kikyster, Wilson County, Texas, where she grew to young womanhood. She was happily married to Walter Buck on January 1, 1914. To this union was born one daughter.
Survivors include the daughter, Mrs. Adolph Stricker of Bandera; one step-daughter, Mrs. Michael Walsh of Sherman Oaks, California; two step-sons, Walter E. Buck of Koshkonog, Missouri, and Frank Buck of LaVerne, California; one sister, Mrs. Carl Wheeler of Medina; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were April 11, Wednesday, at 2:30 p.m., at the Plummer Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Fantley Wheeler of San Antonio officiating and interment was in the Pipe Creek cemetery under the direction of Plummer Funeral Home of Bandera.
Pallbearers were Allie Allsup, Warren Wheeler, Elba Wheeler, Paul Dry, Rayborn Calloway, Fred Stricker.
