Winnie B. Garrett, 92, of Beaumont, passed away on April 5, 2021, in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 9, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Crockett, Texas, on July 14, 1928, she was the daughter of Charlie Johnson Sharp and Annie Belle (Beard) Sharp. Winnie graduated from Stark high school. She met the love of her life Billy and they quickly fell head over heels with one another. Billy noticed her warm and inviting smile and noted that she was the most beautiful person he had ever laid eyes on. From the moment they met, they knew they were each other's soul mate and best companion, going on to spend a joyous 73 years together of wedded bliss. Together they enjoyed growing fruits and vegetables in their garden and canning jams & jellies to sell at flea markets and ship across the United States. Winnie enjoyed playing tennis and played into her mid 80's. She loved painting and quilting and keeping her mind busy with new projects. Winnie faithfully served her Lord and Savior at Faith United Methodist Church for a number of years. She was a loving wife, a wonderful mother, a doting grandmother, and will be missed deeply by all those who she touched during her time on earth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Annie Belle Sharp; and her siblings.

She is survived by her loving husband, Billy Garrett; children, James Garrett of Bakersfield, California, John Garrett and wife Monica of Beaumont, Texas, Steven Garrett and wife Kim of Round Rock, Texas, and Stacey Miller and husband Steve of String Prarie, Texas; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Donovan Garrett, Colin Garrett, Ian Garrett, Cody Garrett, Gavin Garrett and Alex Garrett.
