During World War ll, she left, after studying for 2 years at Mississippi State College for Women, to go to Washington and work for the Navy Department. It was there she met Larry, in 1949, while he was working for the U.S. Navy after serving during the War. After marriage, she worked for the Northern Virginia Bank, as a realtor at Crawford Long, and for the U.S. Army at Fort Belvoir. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse W Brasher and VonDelle Glisson Brasher; husband of 69 years, Lawrence Joseph Dupre; son, Lawrence Joseph "Joey" Dupre, Jr.; and sisters, Lee Delle Wilson and Jo Ann Driscoll. She leave her daughters, Debi Christens (John), Cindy Heaton (Alan), and Lisa Heady (Gene) - all in the Atlanta metro area; grandchildren, Brian Christens, Daniel Christens (Rachel), Melody Casiano (Nik), Kara Alcazar (Orlando), Sean Bradley (Kara), Megan Wade (Clint), Joey Whyte and Jake Whyte; five great grandchildren; brothers, Jesse Brasher and Jimmy Brasher; and sisters, Mary Ruth Parker, Donna Smith and Judy Hayes.
