Vondelle Glisson Brasher, 85, a homemaker, died of heart failure Saturday at Plaza Nursing Center in Pascagoula.

Services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wright Funeral Home in Quitman with burial in Salem Cemetery in Clark County. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home in Hattiesburg.

Mrs. Brasher was a Smith County native and was a former Jackson resident. She was a member of Galloway Methodist Church in Jackson and attended First Baptist Church in Hattiesburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse W. Brasher.

Survivors include five daughters, Mary Ruth Parker of McComb, Doris Dupre of Fayetteville, Ala., Lee Wilson of Hattiesburg, JoAnn Driscoll of Annandale, Va., Donna Smith of Lake Oswego, Ore., and Judy Hayes of Destin , Fla.; two sins, Jesse Brasher Jr. of Gautier and James Brasher of Missouri City, Texas; two sisters, Vida Blackwell of Raleigh and Mary Garrett of Pascagoula; one brother, J.D. Glisson of Jackson; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
