Ida Adams, age 92, of Archer City, Texas, died Monday, September 23, 1996 at a Fort Worth, Texas, nursing home.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 26, 1996, at the First Baptist Church of Archer City, with Roger Deerinwater, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home.

Mrs. Adams was born April 15, 1904, in Runnels County, Texas. She moved to Archer City in 1918. She and Joe Adams were married August 5, 1923, in Archer City. He died November 23, 1968.

She was an active member of the First Baptist Church at Archer City where she had been a Sunday School teacher and had kept the nursery for many years. She was a member of the church choir and had belonged to the Women's Missionary Union.

She is survived by two sons: Carl W. Adams of Dallas, Texas and James K. Adams of Archer City, Texas; one daughter, Ina Tabor of Hurst, Texas; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mattie Joe Adams on December 3, 1936.

The family requests that memorials be made to Archer City Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 198, Archer City, Texas 76351.
