Jesus opened the doors of heaven and welcomed Donald Humbyrd on March 29, 2021.

He was born June 27, 1939, in Springfield, Missouri to parents, Basil and Faye Humbyrd. He was the first of four children. He died March 29, 2021 in Edmond, Oklahoma at the age of 81.

He attended Union Schools in Tulsa, Oklahoma through the 12th grade. Shortly after Don graduated high school, he met the love of his life, Shirley. They were happily married May 16, 1960.

A few years later, Don was inducted into The United States Army. He was honorably discharged in March of 1968. After years of construction with his father and his great-uncle, he then went to work as a glass fabricator at the Ford Glass Plant in Tulsa, OK where he retired.

After retiring, Don and Shirley moved to Edmond, Oklahoma to be near their daughter, Gina and her family. They were unwavering in their faith, and they loved tremendously and unconditionally. Their love and compassion shined through them and sincerely touched the hearts of everyone they met.

Don enjoyed game night with the family and attending his grandchildren's various school activities and concerts. He was a joy to be around, always making people smile. He was notorious for his clever catchphrases, his abundant generosity, and always making his family laugh.

The people in our lives are a gift from God, and Don felt he was truly blessed.

He is survived by his two daughters, Gina Evraets of Edmond, OK and Teresa Humbyrd of Tucson, Arizona and four grandchildren.
