Joan Marie Greer, age 81, of Taneytown, passed away on June 1, 2018, at home. Born October 31, 1936, in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late Malcolm Wilson Iglelhart and Mabel Riddle Iglehart. She was the wife of the late Joel C. Greer, Jr. who passed away in 2011. Joan had been a homemaker for most of her life. She was raised and lived in Howard County until moving to their farm in Taneytown in 1972. She enjoyed gardening, her farm and chickens and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Joan was a private pilot receiving her license in the 1960's. She is survived by sons: Joel Craig Greer of Baltimore and Michael Greer of Taneytown; daughters: Vickie Hatzes of Orange, VA and Cheryl Mose of Tempe, AZ and sister: Maxine Iglehart Holliday of Bluffton, SC. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by son, Ronald C. Greer. Funeral Services and interment were in Mt. View Cemetery, Marriottsville.
