Obituary for Joyce Napier
Joyce Napier passed away peacefully on Monday, March 29, 2021 at her home in Oak Ridge. Joyce was born in Newport, Kentucky to A.J. Moses and Nora (Meadors) Moses. In 1957, Joyce met the love of her life Bobby Napier.The two were happily married almost 50 years before Bobby's death in 2001. They are at last reunited again in heaven. Joyce had a deep spiritual faith. She trusted in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Joyce was a devout member of Central Baptist Church since 1975. Joyce loved gardening and her special dog Polly.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, A.J. and Nora Moses, her sisters Gladys Wilson, Glenn Moses, and Alice Giles, and her son, David Napier.
Joyce is survived by her two sisters, Lois Hardwick and Cynthia Thacker; her daughters, Trina (Jeff) Barkhausen and Vickie (Joe) Drown; her grandchildren, Michael McNerney, Sean (Becca) McNerney, Jared (Anne) Roberts, Jennifer (Chris) Johnson, David Drown, Brandy (Andrew) Pursley, her great grandchildren Addison, Alexis, Kileigh, Haven, Jessica (Daniel) Hodge, her great grandchildren, Seth Liam McNerney and Brooklyn Connor, her family of choice Richard Chirip Charlotte Boyd, Lee Dixon, and her nephew and son of her hear Bill (Angela) Thacker and his children Issac, Nathan, and Aaron.
Visitation services for Joyce Napier will be held on April 1, 2021, at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home, 1017 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Oak Ridge, TN, from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 pm in the Garden of Christus at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home are handling all arrangements.
