Mrs. Hattie Plunkett, Native of Lawrence, Dies At Residence

Mrs. Hattie Plunkett, 74, died at her residence on Danville 2 Monday following a two year illness.

Services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. from Johnson Chapel Methodist Church. The Rev Sammy Stabler and the Rev. C.G. Reding will officiate. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery, Brown of Moulton in charge.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

She was a member of the Lebanon Methodist Church at Speake and had resided in Lawrence County all of her life.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Letha Hughes, Danville 3; Mrs. Minnie Stephenson, Danville 2; Mrs. Ozell Vest, Bellview, Mich; and Mrs. Jeanette Bell, Columbus, Ga; three sons, Herman McCormick, Hartselle 2; Marvin McCormick, and Ed McCormick, Danville 2; one sister, Mrs. Eva Hughes, Danville 2; several step-children; 14 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The body is to be returned to the residence at 3 p.m. today, and will remain there until time for the services.

Hattie was the daughter of Levi Woodberry Brown and Margaret Ann (Peggy) Graves. She was the wife of William Jeff McCormick. Her second husband was a Mr. Plunkett.
