Mr. Aguirre, 76, died Thursday, October 25, 2007 at the Artesia Good Samaritan Center.
Mr. Aguirre was born November 15, 1930 in Durango, Mexico; the son of Francisco Aguirre and Maria Pomposa (Gutierrez) Aguirre.
On October 8, 1960 he was married to Ofelia Meza in Rosales, Chihuahua. He came to Artesia in 1979 from Mexico. She preceded him in death December 18, 2002. He was also preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers; a sister; daughter Dina Aguirre; 2 sons; and a grandson.
He worked as a Floorhand in the oil fields.
Survivors include his sons Luis Aguirre and wife Mary of Juarez, Mexico, Tito Aguirre and wife Laura of Artesia, Hugo Aguirre and wife Mary Helen of Artesia, Saul Aguirre of Artesia, and Inez Aguirre and wife Victoria of Artesia; daughters Dora Bravo and husband Marty of Carlsbad, N.M., and Lila Ramirez and husband Lalo of Artesia; brothers Manuel Aguirre of Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico, Jesus Aguirre of Artesia, and Nieves Aguirre of Anthony, N.M.; sisters Maria Aguirre Melendez of Dimmitt, Texas, and Maria de los Angeles Gutierrez Aguirre of Parral; 23 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
