Irene Deakin Berg Throckmorton Randall passed away in Taylorsville, Utah at the Legacy House Assisted Living Facility on October 25, 2007 of causes incident to age.

She was born August 2, 1919, in Bingham Canyon, Utah, a daughter of Robert Price and Agnes Maud Householder Deakin. Irene grew up in Bingham and American Fork. She graduated from Bingham High School. She attended Brigham Young University as an adult.

She married John Christian "Jack" Berg July 25, 1938 in Copperton, Utah, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on March 12, 1945. He passed away on June 29, 1948. She married Lewis Marvin Throckmorton on June 24, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple. He passed away on April 26, 1971. She married Herman James Randall on July 22, 1981 in the Provo Temple. He passed away on August 26, 1998. After the passing of Jack, she worked nights to support her young family as a telephone operator.

Irene was very active in the LDS Church and served willingly and faithfully in Church callings extended to her throughout her life. She especially enjoyed serving in the Primary organization for over 25 years, and the Salt Lake Temple for 10 years. She served a Stake mission in the West Jordan Stake with Marvin in 1962. She served a mission to the Gulf States/Shreveport Louisiana Mission in 1974-75. Irene had a great love of music of all kinds and could often be heard singing songs of every kind, with amazing retention of the lyrics. Irene was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She made dear friends wherever she lived, including Texas, Copperton, Orem, and the Olympus Cove Area.

Family who remain and mourn her passing: Peggy (Mac) Ray, Maynard John (Kris) Berg; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; Alta Deakin, Loree Beckstrom Jolley, Robert Deakin, Norris Deakin, Max Deakin, Lola Peck Cole, Gordon Deakin, Don Deakin; grandson, Steven Ray.

Funeral Services will be held Mon. October 29, 2007, 11 a.m. at the Mt. Olympus 5th Ward 3610 East 3510 South. A viewing will be held Sunday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road, and again Monday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m.
Interment, American Fork City Cemetery.
