She was born in Courtland or Whiterock Kansas. In 1912, the family moved to De Soto KS & in 1917, the family made Goodland their permanent residence. Per her birth certificate, she is "child # 3". One sibling probably died in infancy & she has a brother named George Miller who was residing in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1943. Hazel married my Great Uncle Arthur Cullins on July 12, 1936, which happened to be her parents' 36th wedding anniversary. Hazel & Art later moved to Tabernash, CO, where his uncle, Lewis Cullins resided. They lived there for 3 years & sometime in 1940/1941 decided to make a permanent home in Los Angeles, CA. Shortly after, Hazel became very ill & passed away on April 24, 1943, one day after her birthday. Uncle Art & Aunt Hazel had no children. ~ ~ I never met my Great Aunt Hazel, but I've tried to discover as much as I can about her. I affectionately call her "Little Hazel" because she was a petite woman, standing at just 4' 10". My Uncle Art kept her wedding rings & I've had them for safe-keeping since his passing. When I learned who Hazel was, I promised her I would not forget her, would try to make sure people know who she is & that I would keep her rings safe. ⚘️RIP, "Little Hazel."
