"The Paris News", 29 Aug 1990. -- Wirt Buster, Rt. 1, Paris, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, in St. Joseph's Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, in Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Yarbrough and the Rev. Louis Ricketson officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Buster was born Oct. 3, 1896, in Caviness, a son of James Wesley and Bennie Lenoir Buster. He married Mable Cleere on Dec. 24, 1922, in the Cato community. He was a retired farmer and bus driver and was a Methodist.

Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Helen Hickman, Janice Winford, and Linda Reynolds; two sons, J.E. (Gene) Buster and Jack K. Buster; 17 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathryn Ann Buster, in 1961, and a son, Bill Buster, in 1990.
