Weller Samuel, one of the old pioneers of northern Indiana, died of heart disease at his home in Swan Twp January 9, 1903, aged 86 years, 5 months and 17 days. He was born in Shenandoah County, Virginia, July 23, 1816. When he was 19 he came with his parents to Clark County, Ohio, where he remained until 1842, when he came to DeKalb County, Indiana. He leaves a widow, 2 daughters one son, ten grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Obsequies were held Sunday. Burial, Swan Cemetery. * 1903
