DALE S. ABERNATHY
Dale S. Abernathy passed Feb. 23, after his battle with dementia. He died peacefully at home with his family.
Dale was born in Monte Vista, CO, to Guy Gilbert Abernathy and Nerissa Thelma Harmon Abernathy. In third grade he moved to the Sifton area of Vancouver, WA. He attended Union High School. Dale worked at the Camas Papermill for 41 years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and so many things. He leaves behind his wife, of almost 70 years, Eileen; his children, Kathy Towe, Patti Abernathy, Douglas Abernathy and Janet Abernathy. He was instrumental in the raising of his grandchildren, Clayton and Charylie Abernathy. He had 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A wonderful man, a great father and a good husband, always someone you could count on to be there if you needed him We will miss him. A special thanks to Sierra, who took care of Dale, her kindness and care made the end of his life so much better. In lieu of flowers a donation could be made to Hospice or the Fern Prairie Cemetery.
We will miss you Daddy.
