CRAWFORD --Funeral services for George Hargis, 94, were
held in the chapel of Goff Funeral Home today at 2.p.m. with burial in the Hanging Limb Cemetery in Crawford.
Mr. Hargis died at Livingston Regional Hospital Saturday August 18, 1990) following an extended illness.
Born in Overton County, June 18, 1896, he was the son of Cal and Mary Key Hargis.
A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church and worked as a general
laborer.
His family includes one brother, Reuben Hargis of Hanging Linb, two grandchildren, Faye Phillips of Monterey and Anna Ray Phillips of Hanging Limb; eight great-
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ader Hargis and one son, Norman Hargis.
Rev. Ovel Tinch officiated at the services.
