Ruby was born in Lincoln County, West Virginia. She was one of 9 children born to William and Fannie Hodge.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Fannie (Arix) Hodge. Her Sons Eddie Charles McGhee and Larry H. McGhee, as well as her daughter Jerry Joy Clay. Her Brothers Haskell and Charles along with her sisters Edna Watts and Gladys Spencer.
She is survived by her children, Lana "June" Alford, Kathy Ann Griffith, Judith Carol Arbaugh-Watts, and Sandra "Kay" Cremeans. her brother Edward Hodge, Sisters Inez Allen, and twins Jestine Jane "Jean" Bellinger and Joelene Jane "Joe" Hensley.
She was the mother of 7 children. She help raise many of her grandchildren and words cannot express the love she passed on to us.
She is buried in between her husband Charles that died February 28,2007 and her son Larry H. Mcghee who was killed in an Auto accident when he was 30 years old.
She lived to know her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren...and that was not long enough.
She left us..needing her, we always will..
She had the strength of an army and the touch of an angel. And nothing will ever be the same without her here.
Memories of you make my cup runneth over, but it's not enough to quench the thirst of my soul.
I love you Nanny.
