Mrs. Anna L. Capper, 89, of 1227 Canyon Rd. SE, Carrollton, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter (Welda) Brumbaugh of 1229 Canyon Rd. SE, Carrollton, following a brief illness. She was born October 19, 1894 in Union Township, a daughter of the late James and Mary Elizabeth (Butterfield) Tripp. She was a life resident of Carroll County and a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women. She was married May 4, 1915 to James W. Capper, who died April 14, 1924.

In addition to her daughter, she is survived by two sons, Ralph of Carrollton and Wayne of Minerva; a sister, Mrs. Frank (Jessie) Capper of Carrollton; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Allmon-Dugger Funeral Home with Rev. James Thobaben officiating. Burial was in Mount Pleasant Church Cemetery.
