Robert H. Amedee
Bobby passed away peacefully at his home in Gonzales on Tuesday, June 30, 2015. He graduated from Dutchtown High School and Moler Barber College; a member of Knights of Columbus #2657, and a former Gonzales City Alderman. He loved his camp at Belle River, going to casinos, St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church and School and spending time with his large family. For 43 years, he owned and operated Riverside Barber Shop.

He leaves behind 5 daughters and sons in law: Delba and Barry Tullier, Tonie and Kenny Templet, Odile and Julious (Bugg) Frederic, Monette and Charles Freeburgh, Anita and Bryant Gautreau; a son and daughter in law: Carl and Debra Amedee; 14 grandchildren: Lance Amedee, Alana Boudreaux, Nicole Crawford, Jerome Tullier, Deneen Richard, Joseph Tullier, Lindsey Duplessis, Amy Wheat, Jordy Templet, Brianne Templet, Wesley Freeburgh, Matthew Freeburgh, Dane Gautreau, Carly Gautreau; 21 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife: Janet Smith Amedee; father: Philadelphe Amedee; mother: Odile Rodrigue Amedee; son: Thomas Amedee; grandson: Brett Frederic; sister: Ada Dupré; 6 brothers Lee, Odon, Roger, Lloyd, Antoine, and Edgar Amedee. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Wednesday, July 1 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and resume at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church on Thursday, July 2 at 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am officiated by Rev. Eric Gyan; interment to follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memory, Gonzales. Pallbearers Lance Amédée, Jerome Tullier, Jordy Templet, Joseph Tullier, Dane Gautreau, Wesley Freeburgh, Matthew Freeburgh. In Lieu of Flowers, Donations may be made to St. Theresa School "In memory of Robert "Bobby" Amedee. The family would like to give special thanks to Bobbie Harrell and her family for their special care for their father during his illness. Please offer condolences to the family at www.oursofh.com.
