Graveside service for Billy Glenn Barclay, age 75, of Saint Jo will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 8, 2021 at Perryman Cemetery in Forestburg. Visitation will be held at 5:00 PM on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Scott Funeral Home in Saint Jo. Mr. Barclay passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021.
Billy was born on June 6, 1945 in Brownsville, Texas to Arthur Glenn ‘Charlie’ and Gladys Emma (Linder) Barclay. He graduated from Port Lavaca and served 4 years in the United States Air Force. He spent many of his early years driving trucks. He was later the first certified water superintendent for the City of Saint Jo, when he left in 1979. For many years he enjoyed competing in BBQ Cookoffs with his friends and cousin, Teddy Barclay.
Billy is survived by Daughter: Jennifer and husband Shawn Vogel of Saint Jo; son: Shane Barclay and girlfriend Lindsey Rhodes of Saint Jo; grandchildren: Jessica Vogel, Charlie Barclay, and Amzy Barclay; and sister: Glenda Klimitchek.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Charlie and Gladys Barclay, wife: Sherry Barclay; brother: Charles Barclay; and brother-in-law: Leon Klimitchek.
