MRS. MARTSOLF DIES AT AGE 79
Mrs. Charles L. Martsolf, 79, of 219 S. Elder St., a resident of Mishawaka for the last 50 years, died at 8:15 pm Wednesday in the Osteopathic Hospital, South Bend. She had been ill for the last two years. Mrs. Martsolf was born in Donaldson, Ind., from where she moved to Mishawaka. As Effie V. Freese she married Martsolf in South Bend, May 1, 1899. Surviving other than her husband are four sons, Guy O, Kenneth U, and George S. Martsolf, of Mishawaka, and Glen Martsolf, of Phoenix, Ariz; two daughters Mrs. Edna Seegert, of Mishawaka and Mrs. Florence Hupp, of Rochester, Mich, 22 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Charles L. Martsolf, 83, of 219 S. Elder St., died at 1 pm Saturday in Osteopathic Hospital, South Bend, following illness of two years. He was born in South Bend and moved here in 1930. He married Effie V. Freese in South Bend on May 1, 1899. She died on August 22, 1956. Surviving are four sons, Roy O, Kenneth U, and George S. Martsolf, all of Mishawaka, and Glenn Martsolf of Phoenix, Ariz; two daughters, Mrs. Edna Ziegert of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Florence Hupp of South Bend 22 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Bubb Chapel after 7 pm today and until the services there at 1 pm Tuesday. Charles F. Ouerrey, presiding minister, North Unit, Mishawaka Jehovah Witness, will officiate and burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Mr. Martsolf's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
