Miss Nettie Jenkinson, 80, died from a heart attack in her home at Brandon, Wisconsin September 6, 1949; she was born July 26, 1869 in Brandon, the daughter of the late Robert and Lucy (O'Connor) Jenkinson; graduated from the local high school in 1887, she taught a few years in rural schools and later worked in the office of the Brandon Times for Martin C. Short; she and her sister Mrs. Ida J. Brown purchased the Times and published the paper for 20 years; after selling the Times, she clerked in the post office at Brandon and at the time of her death was Brandon's correspondent for the Fond du Lac Commonwealth-Reporter; she celebrated her 80th birthday in the home on W. Bowen Street where she spent her entire life; interred in the family lot in the Brandon cemetery, the Rev Ralph V. Austin of the Congregational Church officiating.
