Carolyn Ensign Killinger, 78, of Chesterfield, Idaho passed away July 15, 2020 in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho after a long battle with Alzheimer's and Dementia.

Carolyn was the 3rd child and only daughter of John Dale Ensign and Clara Hinckley born on May 18, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Carolyn had two older brothers: John Dale Ensign II and Roger Hinckley Ensign.

Carolyn attended grade school in Lake Oswego, CA and graduated from Los Angeles High School. She attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah for 2 semesters.

Carolyn married Fred Farnsworth in 1961 and they had two daughters: [names omitted]. The couple later divorced.

Carolyn married Ralph Louis Killinger in the fall of 1974. Ralph had 4 children of from his previous marriage: [names omitted]. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Utah Temple. Carolyn joined the church if Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when she was 16 years old. She was always a faithful member holding many callings. She served as Primary Chorister, Primary Teacher, Young Women Camp Director, Gospel Doctrine teacher, Sunday School Teacher, Nursery Teacher, Music Chorister, Relief Society Teacher, and Road Show Producer. Carolyn had a strong love for horses and all animals. She loved being a 4-H Leader, riding, raising, and training horses. She was a talented artist and was gifted at drawing and painting horses.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph, and her brother John. Carolyn is survived by her brother, [name omitted], her two daughters, 4 step-children, 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

We'd like to thank Encompass Health and Hospice for their loving care of our mother over the past several months. We are very appreciative of our many neighbors and friends, and [names omitted] who served her. Also, Diamond Peak Assisted Living Center in Lava Hot Springs for their special care they provided the last week of her life.

Graveside services will be held July 25, 2020 in Chesterfield, Idaho at 11:00am.
