Orville P. Adams, 95, of South Webster passed away Friday, March 5, 2021 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. Orville was born March 4, 1926 to the late Raney P. and Della (Risner) Adams in Cyrus, KY. He proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII. Orville was retired from the Pipefitters Local #577 in Portsmouth after 70 years of service. He is also a member of Masonic Lodge 91 in Wheelersburg. He loved to work on his farm raising horses and cows. Orville made belt buckles out of silver dollars, anything he set out to do he accomplished. In his younger days he was an avid fox hunter.

Orville is survived by his wife, Katherine (Robinson) Adams; two daughters, Freda McNelly and husband Doug of Wheelersburg and Della Parsons and husband Roger of Marion; a step-son, Michael Short and wife Brenda of Logan, WV; three step-daughters, Kimberly Ann Short of Dunlow, WV, Linda Blankenship of Huntington, WV and Brenda Burton of Lexington, KY; a sister, May Schriber of Lagrange, IN; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. Orville was also preceded in death by his first wife, Verla Adams who passed away in 2005; and two sons, Gerald Adams and Timothy Adams.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2021at Vernon Cemetery in Wheelersburg with Pastor Calvin Ray Evans officiating. Graveside military honors will be presented by the James Dickey Post #23 of the American Legion.
