Esther Clark Winters, 93, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003 at a Banner Elk care center.
Formerly of Pineola, she was born Oct. 12, 1909, the daughter of the late George and Flora Benfield Clark. Mrs. Winters was also preceded in death by her husband, Mack Winters, a brother , Edgar Clark and a sister, Melba West.
She is survived by two sisters, Marguerite Chapman of Pineola and Tess B. Coulter of Spruce Pine; stepson, Bill Jones of Erwin, TN.
