Julia Edith Kohlrus, 76, of Springfield died at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's Hospital. She was born Aug. 7, 1915, in Springfield, the daughter of Edward and Julia Williams Hermon. She married Edward J. Kohlrus in 1940 in St. Louis, Mo.

Preceding her in death were one son, Edward, in 1943; two sisters, Louise Howley and Lucinda Neposchlan; and four brothers, William, Charles, Glenn and Raymond Hermon.

Mrs. Kohlrus was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and was a former member of Sherman United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Edward J.; one daughter of Peoria; three brothers; one sister; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kenneth Zinn and the Rev. Kenneth Harris officiating. Burial in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
