Norman Vendrick Hull, 88, of Andrews, died Friday, February 26, 2021 at his residence.

Norman was born on November 27, 1932 at the family farm in Bracken, IN the son of John G. Hull and Mary Q. (Vendrick) Hull. He was a 1950 Graduate of Anderson Madison Heights High School and attended Purdue University for Livestock until he was drafted. Norman proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He returned and married the love of his life Shirley Ann Jeffrey on August 27, 1960 in Bippus IN. He worked at Locke Steel Chain of Huntington and retired after 20 plus years as a Bus Driver for the Huntington County Community School Corporation. WOWO awarded him Best School Bus Driver Of The Day. Norman was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church of Bippus. He was a member of the American Legion Post #7 for over 65 years and a member of the National Flying Farmers Association. Norman was a Past President of the Aero Club in Majenica, IN. He enjoyed fishing, boating and farming. His true passion was flying, he loved to give people their first airplane ride. Flying took him on many adventures and allowed him to meet some famous people. Once he was granted permission to land on Mickey Mantle’s private landing strip. He was proud to say he gave State Representative Dan Leonard his first airplane ride.

Survivors include his Two Sons, Jeffrey (Linda) Hull of Bippus, IN, John David (Vina) Hull of Andrews, IN; Two Grandsons, Alan Miller of Huntington, Samuel Hull of Andrews; Granddaughter, Allison Miller of Huntington; Great Granddaughter Erika Moreland of Warren, IN; and Great Grandson, Michael Simmons of Huntington. He is preceded in death by his Father, Mother, Wife and brother Newell Hull.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday March 3, 2021 at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Barry Faucett officiating. Burial will be in Andrews Riverside Cemetery.

Due to the current Executive Order, masks and social distancing are required at all events.
