Devoted husband to his wife of 49 years; beloved father to his two daughters; and loving grandfather to his grandson. A long-time member of Buffalo Trail Baptist Church, serving as deacon and Sunday School teacher, as well as going on several mission trips to help build churches in other states and in Romania. Retired after thirty years as an educator in the Hamblen County school system, teaching at Sherwood Elementary and Meadowview Middle. Preceded in death by his parents, sisters Elva Wolfe, Glatha Grey and Elsie Chippendale, and brothers Virgil, Lester, Frank, Corbett and Donald.
