Evelyn Allen (FAG # 13906623) 1950s Hollywood Actress.
She used Judith Evelyn as her stage and personal name starting in 1934. She never married and had no children. She only dated Andrew Allen, Actress, Producer from Canada. Judith, Andrew and his father were on the ship, Athenia, which was torpedoed by a German U-boat, on Sunday, 3 September 1939, the very day that WW2 was declared. Judith, Andrew and Rev. William Allen got into the same lifeboat, later the lifeboat was cut in two by the propeller of one of the rescue ships, and, very long story short, the Rev. Allan and most of the people in the lifeboat were killed. After hours in the North Atlantic, clinging to the remains of the lifeboat’s keel, Judith and Andrew were rescued. Because they had been living together, they said that they were engaged, but denied it later. They broke up in 1940. Subsequently, Andrew Allan was married twice. Judith never married.
