He also had 2 sisters, Mary adn Ada Follis. James married Margaret Elizabeth West on August 22, 1899. They farmed a year or two then went into business with his wife's uncle and son "A. B. Etheridge & Son" Flour Mill & Cotton Gin. By the year 1910 they were back farming near Dripping Springs.
