Mrs. Rader was born in Medo Township, Blue Earth County, July 19, 1905, to James and Ida (Eastman) DeRemer. She attended rural school in Medo Township, and married Walter J. Rader in Mankato, Sept. 4, 1922. They farmed in the Pemberton area, moving into Pemberton in 1948. She owned and operated the Pemberton Cafe for several years in partnership with Hazel Owens. She also worked for many years as a housekeeper in the Mankato area. Her husband died March 7, 1979, and she moved to Mapleton in 1980. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, and its Ladies' Aid, Quilting Club and Friendship Club.
Mrs. Rader is survived by a son, Allan, and wife, Cheryl, of Mankato; daughters Loretta Ward and Carol Annis and husband, Robert, all of Mapleton; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Delores Rader of Mankato; and many nieces, and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald, and by seven brothers and
