Rex, age 80, passed away at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan. He was the son of Frank and Thelma (Hines) Green. He graduated from high school, then joined the US Army for 22 years, and worked for the US Department of Defense for 20 years. He received several medals and commendations, include the Bronze Star. He is survived by his sons, Eric Green and Rex Green II, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were held at Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. Graveside services were held in Kansas Veteran's Cemetery at Fort Riley.
