Almeda was the daughter of Luke Garrett and Elizabeth Yerian.
She married on April 12, 1887, Jackson County, Ohio, to James William Johnson.

JOHNSON RITES SET FOR SUNDAY
Mrs. Almeda Johnson Taken Thursday in Daughter's Home
Funeral services will be conducted here Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Almeda Garrett Johnson, 87-year-old former Jackson, resident, who succumbed in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clyde Hutchinson, at Dayton Thursday afternoon.
Born in Scioto township in 1862, Mrs. John was the daughter of the late Luke and Elizabeth Yerian Garrett. She lived the greater part of her life in this community, but in recent years had made her home with her daughter.
In addition to her daughter Mrs. Johnson is survived by three sons, Walter of Jackson, Luke and Finley of Cleveland; one brother, Adam Garrett of Jackson; eight-grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Her husband, James died two years ago.
The body was brought to the Clyde E. Mayhew funeral home where funeral services will be 2:30 o'clock with Rev. Paul I. Wachs officiating.
Interment will be made in the Fairmount cemetery.
