Funeral services for Lottie A. Yoakum, 94, were held Oct. 15, 2007 in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Erwin officiating.
The daughter of William Porter Story and Susanna Ertice "Sudie" Voss Story, Lottie moved to Oklahoma with her parents and siblings in 1927.
On Aug. 31, 1932 she married Floyd L. Yoakum.
Mrs. Yoakum worked for many years as a cook at Rosedale Schools and later at Pauls Valley Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; one son, Donald Lee Yoakum; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Survivors include twin daughters, Sandra Dunkin and her husband, Jerry, Enid and Sharon Couch and her husband, Carl, Pauls Valley; 3 sisters, Gladys Wyatt, Purcell, Joyce Birdwell, Pauls Valley and Vernal Stinnett, Shawnee; 1 brother, Lonas Story, Pauls Valley; sister-in-law, Dorothy Yoakum Byrd, Rosedale; 7grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
