JONES, GLADYS — Age 100, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at Saline Evangelical Home. She was born June, 1907 in Bourbon, IN, the daughter of Charles and Dora (Berkeypile) Pittman. Gladys' grandfather, Andrew Pittman, officiated the service when she married Philip H. Jones on November 14, 1931 on her family's farm and he preceded her in death in April 1984. Besides her loving husband of 52 years, she was also preceded in death by her son, Delbert Jones; brothers, George, Merl, Harold, Lewis and Frederick Pittman; and sisters, Fern Blakeman and Nina Boyer. Gladys is survived by her children, LaDonna G. Bowers of Nebraska, Dolores (LeRoy) Buss of Chelsea, and Arlene Wolf of Milan; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Gladys loved flowers and enjoyed gardening, knitting and crocheting. A Celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, June 30, 2007 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Braun Chapel in Brooklyn with Elder Ken Martin officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association or to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home on Friday where the family will receive friends from 4 to 9 p.m.
