Mrs. Eula Alexander Stevens Self

Funeral services for Mrs. Eula Alexander Stevens Self were conducted Wednesday, June 26 at 4:00 p.m. in Southern Funeral Home Chapel of Durant. The Rev. Doyle R. Mitchell was the officiating minister.

Mrs. Self died Tuesday, June 25 at her home near Vaiden. She was 74.

A native of Carroll County, she was born on September 15, 1910, a daughter of the late Ralph Alexander and Mrs. Grace Rogers Alexander.

Mrs. Self was a retired employee of Holmes County Bank and Trust Company’s branch office at West where she held the position of vice president at her retirement. She was a Methodist.

Survivors Include her husband, Marshall Lee Self of Vaiden; one son, A.J. Stevens III of West; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Fullilove of Vaiden and Mrs. Brock Craft of West; and two grandchildren.

Burial was in West Cemetery with Southern in charge of arrangements.

Serving as active pallbearers were Joe McLellan, Mark Havens, Sam Alexander, Jack Fullilove, Ralph Alexander and Louis Alexander.
