Boyd, 70, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, at Henry County Healthcare Center.
His wife Betty Fisher Boyd survives. They were married on March 11, 1979.
Born Jan. 24, 1937, in Paris, he was a son of Bill and Mary Merrell Boyd, both deceased.
Boyd was a self-employed carpenter for many years. He was a Baptist. A family member said he enjoyed fishing.
He also leaves one daughter: Debbie (Johnny) Prather of Hickman, Ky.; two sons: Terry D. (Sharon) and Randy (Mary) Boyd, both of Martin; five stepchildren: Shirley Starnes, Amy Conner and Leon William Dean, all of Paris, Clifford Dean of Puryear and Lutishia Sisemore of McKenzie;
Two sisters: LaRue Cleaver of Paris and Jenny Sue Meals of Medina; two brothers: Jerry Boyd of Paris and Jimmy Boyd of Chicago; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; and six great-stepgrandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by a brother: Billy Boyd.
