Husband to Clara Jane Jacobson, daughter of Andrew Jacobson and Clara McAdams. Nick and Clara were married on April 23, 1907 in Spokane, WA.

NICHOLAS KAUFMAN


Nicholas Kaufman, age 86 years, a former resident of The Dalles died July 
17, 1965, at Spokane, Washington, where he has resided for the past nine 
years. A retired farmer and a member of the Evangelical United Brethren 
Church in The Dalles. Surviving are one son, George N. Kaufman of Spokane, 
Washington, and two grandchildren, Charles and Everett Kaufman. Graveside 
services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at The Dalles Odd Fellows Cemetery. 
The Reverend Virgil A. Brown will officiate.

Spencer & Libby Funeral Home in 
charge of arrangements.

Friends who so desire may contribute to The Dalles 
Evangelical United Brethren Church Fund, in memory of Mr. Kaufman.

Graveside Rites Here for Kaufman



Graveside rites will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Odd Fellows Cemetery 
for Nicholas Kaufman, 86, a former resident of The Dalles who died Sunday at 
Spokane, where he had made his home for the past nine years.

Kaufman was born in Harper, Iowa. He was a retired farmer and a member here 
of the United Brethren Church. At one time he was employed at Jack Docherty 
Furniture store. His death was the result of an automobile collision. The Reverend Virgil A. Brown will officiate at the graveside rites.

Surviving are a son, George, of Spokane, and two grandsons, Charles and 
Everett Kaufman.

The family said friends who so desire may make memorial contributions to 
United Brethren Church funds.

Mr. and Mrs. George Kaufman will be at the Dr. John Gilhousen home, arriving 
Thursday afternoon.
