AUCOIN Bernard "Benny" Moses Joseph Aucoin passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at 3:30 PM. Beloved husband of fifty-seven years of Elta Breaux Aucoin. Loving father of Edward Aucoin; Susan Matherne, (husband, Jesse); Diane Nolan, (husband, Buddy); Marion Bratton, (husband, Keith) and Lisa Ruiz. Son of the late Edward Aucoin and Ida Allemand Aucoin. Brother of Jeanne Gros and preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. Grandfather of Stacey, Jesse, Jr., Jason, Glenn, Jr., Joshua, Nicole and the late Jeremiah; great-grandfather of Jordan, Jayden, Jesse and Jamie. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. Mr. Aucoin, age 82 years and a resident of Bridge City, LA for forty-five years, was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was later employed by Jax Brewery for over twenty years. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Omni Health Care for all their help and support. Relatives, friends of the family and members of V.F.W. Post No. 6793 are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from WESTSIDE/LEITZ-EAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 5101 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY, MARRERO, LA, on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 12:30 PM. Interment in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until funeral time.
