It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother Annie Evans - Rumpel on Saturday August 15, 2020 at the age of 89 years. Mom was born in Rosthern January 17, 1931 and was raised in the early years in Rosthern, Hague, Abbotsford and then the family settled in Saskatoon. For the first 88 years of her life, Mom was fortunate to be pretty independent, but this past year has been a trying time for her with many health issues, moving out of independent living and ending with her last couple of months being at Sherbrooke Community. We, her family, are so grateful for the care and attention given to her in making this home her new home, especially during these trying times of Covid. They certainly went above and beyond, with family Zoom meetings, indoor visitations and outdoor visitations. Mom was predeceased by an infant daughter (Margaret Rose), an infant son (Michael), her parents Peter and Agnes, her brother Peter and brothers-in-law Bill and Pete. Mom of course was a very busy person raising such a large family. When mom was able to enter the work world, she worked at a couple hotels, department store and lastly was in food industry as a head cook at E.D. Feehan High School, where she thoroughly loved being around the vibrant and energetic students, staff and support staff. Over the years, mom had travelled throughout Canada and had a fondness for British Columbia and the Maritime Provinces. She also visited different parts of the USA and Mexico. Mom and Dad also enjoyed many years of lake living, first at Aquadeo Beach and then at Manitou Beach, leaving many good memories and fun times. Mom, may you now rest in peace, no pain, no struggles and know you will be greatly missed by all your family. Till we meet again, all our love.
