William Kraft, 82, of Moscow, died Sunday, October 22, 1950, at Bellevue Hospital in Muscatine.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 25, at Frick Funeral Home in Durant. Burial will be in the Durant Cemetery, Durant, Iowa.

Wilhelm Kraft was born October, 18, 1868, in Germany, the son of Fritz and Margaretha (Stelk) Kraft and came to this country at the age of 14, with his family. He married Catherine Kahler on December 29, 1909, in Davenport. He farmed in this vicinity until he retired and moved to Moscow in 1944. He was of the Lutheran faith. He used the name William during his lifetime.

Surviving are his wife, Catherine; one son, Victor Kraft of Moscow; two daughters, Helen (Warren) Byerley of Centerville, KS, and Velma (Anton) Bubon of Rock Island, IL; 11 grand-children; two brothers, Herman and Henry Kraft of Davenport; and one sister, Mrs. Bertha Sindt of Davenport.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, one brother and two sisters.
