Mrs. Alice Hicks Youtsey, age 82, a longtime resident of Summerville, South Carolina, entered into rest Tuesday morning, February 2, 2021, at her home in Ruffin under the care of Amedisys Hospice. She was the wife of the late Mr. Orval Youtsey.

Born April 6, 1938, in Family , West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Thurmond Hicks and the late Helen Gibson Hicks. She served our country faithfully in the United States Air Force and was a retired secretary from the Naval Weapons Station at Charleston. She was devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses where she served in various capacities of the Hall’s work to include Field Service.

Surviving are: a son, Kirby Reeves of Cottageville; two grandchildren, Nikki Reeves Nettles and Jacob Reeves; a brother, Wayne Hicks of Middleburg Florida; and five sisters, Barbara Hicks Padgett of Ruffin, Mary Hicks Twiggs of Odessa Texas, Cathy Hicks Flores of Houston Texas, Charlotte Hicks Calhoun of Nebraska, and Sharon Hicks Duggan of Fairfax SC. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Purcell; a grandson, Ian Purcell; and a daughter-in-law, Melissa Reeves. Including 3 brother Dewey Hicks, Jerry Michael Hicks, Darius Eugene Hicks, 5 sisters Edna Hicks, Darla Hicks, Madeline “Dots” Hicks, Betty Lou Hicks, and Anna May Hicks.
