Obituary for Elton "Tony" Leinweber
Elton (Tony) Leinweber, age 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 31st, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas. Tony was born January 26th, 1928 in Hondo, Texas, the youngest child of August John and Wilhelmina Henrietta (Reitzer) Leinweber. Tony served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Darlene (Tschirhart) Leinweber, his son Russell, his parents, and siblings Milton A. Leinweber, Nora K. Balzen, Marvin E. Leinweber, Eddie A. Leinweber and Hilmer W. Leinweber. He is survived by his daughter, Beverly Owens and husband Neal of Fair Oaks Ranch; grandchildren Katie Krause, Kristen Williams and Elizabeth Klossen; great-grandchildren Hayden Williams, Noah Williams, Benjamin Williams, Noelle Klossen and Everett Klossen.
Tony was an employee of National Cash Register Corporation for over 42 years. Music was a very big part of his life from a young age and he enjoyed an additional career playing the fiddle in several South Texas western swing bands.
The Service will be held at 9 am, February 13, 2021 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North, 3401 Cherry Ridge Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78230. Interment to immediately follow at Mission Burial Park North.
