"John Loder came April, 1820, from Allegheny county, Pennsylvania, and entered the northeast quarter of section 14 [in Jackson Township, Coshocton Co., Ohio]. His son, Aaron Loder, is one of the oldest citizens now in Jackson township."

John's grandparents were John Loder (born Mar 19, 1698/99 at Parish of Semley, Wiltshire, England and Johana (maiden name unknown). Emigrated to America (New York) in 1722/24. He died in 1774, although this date is probably in error as he appears to have deeded property in 1775 (see below). They had ten children.

John's parents were James Loder (died 1792), who apparently lived in Oxford, NJ per grant of approximately 230 acres to him by his father, John Loder on June 26, 1775 and Ruth (maiden name unknown).

3) First and last name unknown girl
4) Martha Loder 1808 - 1830

Gravesite Details

We found his tombstone under about 8 inches of soil on April 7, 2021. This cemetery was read in the early 50s, again in 1992 and finally in 2003. John's tombstone was not found and read during any of those years. His tombstone is 24" x 67" x 2".
