He was born Oct. 22, 1937, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Herbert and Marie Ganzer Healey. He married Elizabeth Beckert in 1959 in Davenport, Iowa. A son, Tom Healey, preceded him in death.
Mr. Healey, a graduate of St. Ambrose College in Davenport, served as manager of human resources at the Department of Revenue, having retired in 1999. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
Survivors: wife, Elizabeth; a son, Michael (wife, Rachel) Healey of Springfield; four daughters, Linda (husband, Randy) Nichols, Kathleen (husband, Eric) Zanger, and Teresa and Mary Healey, all of Springfield; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Joyce (husband, Walt) Hilbert of Davenport, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass: Christ the King Catholic Church, the Rev. David Lantz officiating. Burial: Calvary Cemetery.
