It was reported in the diaries of 1905, written by Morton Philips (nephew in law), that Selina was ill with influenza on 8th February, rallied on 10th, was getting weaker with very laboured breathing on 11th and that she died peacefully just before 6pm on 12th. Her body was buried at Brompton Cemetery on 16th February after a service at St Judes taken by Rev. Eardley Wilmot.
