She married George Montague Stopford in 1854 but was widowed after only 6 years of marriage leaving her with 3 children, 2 daughters and one son. She moved in later life to live with her spinster sister Selina Henrietta Burgoyne in a grace and favour apartment at Hampton Court Palace where she died in 1915 aged 85.
