Harold Richard Swinford, 89, of Choctaw, OK, died Tuesday, October 9, 2007. Born January 18, 1918 in Midlothian, Oklahoma to Roy and Agnes Swinford. Harold retired from International Paper Company and was a veteran of the United Sates Army. He served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie; parents, Roy and Agnes Swinford; two sisters, Ellen Barnes and Waneta Swinford. Harold is survived by two sons, Roy Swinford and his wife Carolyn of Choctaw, Ray Swinford and his wife Julie of Choctaw; daughter, Rhonda Swinford of Choctaw; along with one sister, Dora Wilson; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Fri., Oct. 12, 2007, at the Wellston Cemetery.
